Il lavoro del curatore è un'esperienza di comprensione psicologica e di ermeneutica del testo iconografico. L’incontro con l’artista è esplorazione di un nuovo mondo e nell’opera d’arte pensiero e azione si incontrano nella realizzazione effettiva dell’oggetto creativo. L’analisi, lo studio e la ricerca del lavoro artistico non sono relegati solamente all’ambito mentale, ma sono risposta positiva e reazione alle problematiche contemporanee. La mediazione curatoriale si inserisce in un processo relazionale che coinvolge in primis l’artista, il gallerista, il pubblico e il collezionista. La conferma della propria attività avviene attraverso il riscontro dell’osservatore sia con la comprensione del testo critico, sia con l’acquisto dell’opera, che legittima in maniera inconfutabile la catena operativa del sistema culturale.
The job of a curator requires both elements of insight into the human condition, as well as knowledge of the hermeneutical meaning of iconographic texts. The encounter with the artist is an exploration of a new world and in the work of art thought and action meet in the actual realization of the creative object. The analysis, study and research of the artistic work are not relegated exclusively to the mental sphere, but constitute a positive response and reaction to contemporary issues. Curatorial mediation inserts itself into a relational process involving in primis the artist, the gallerist, the public and the collector. One’s own work is affirmed through the observer’s response to the critical text as well as through the purchase of the work itself, which represents the undisputable legitimation of the cultural system’s operative chain.
